Base coat

Often, powder paints are used as a base layer, which helps to strengthen anti-corrosion, make the surface even and increase adhesion. It is applied immediately on the prepared surface, after getting rid of oxides and lubricants. Usually, transparent epoxy paint is used for this, which has powerful anti-corrosion properties, but is vulnerable to ultraviolet light. However, any powder material can be used as a soil, depending on the properties and needs.

It is worth remembering that the primer does not replace the preliminary preparation of iron.

Correction of defects

All kinds of defects occur on the painted surface — craters, bubbles, chips. Such troubles arise because of the wrong one temperature regime in the polymerization furnace or poor preparation of the metal for painting. To prevent this from happening, mistakes can always be corrected by one more painting. However, it is difficult to cover in “patches” with powder coating — you need to repaint the entire product in its entirety, observing all technological requirements.

Varnish is used for a more reliable polymer film and to increase the shine — most often in the automotive industry, to give car parts a luxurious look.
