Uneven chromating

After poor degreasing, another problem arises — spotty distribution of chrome on the metal part. Uniform chroming is hindered not only by the remains of fats, but also by previous layers of protective metals. In this case, try to increase the heating and processing time or change the concentration of the solutions. Faulty nozzles that spray the chemical also often cause poor quality causing.

The protective coating wears off

If you can simply rub off the chrome film by rubbing it with your finger, this is also a sign of an unpleasant defect. The reason lies in the fact that you keep the part in the solution bath for too long or the spray pressure is low.
