The meaning of degassing

During the fusion of powders into a continuous polymer film, a significant amount of various gases is released. If you do not get rid of them in time, at the early stage of polymerization, then many bubbles, chips and craters will remain on the coating. They spoil the integrity of the film, which will poorly isolate the metal from harmful corrosion factors. So even air pockets between the grains of paint material can cause a lack of coverage.

Outgassing during polymerization is especially important in the case of porous surfaces. Pores with residual air on the surface of cast iron or galvanized steel are not visible to the naked eye, but have a strong impact on anti-corrosion. Sometimes the application of soil saves, but this method is more expensive and less reliable.
